AI-powered short form video application Triller has announced its acquisition of Thuzio, a leading B2B influencer event management platform. The move is designed to improve Triller’s ability to create engaging live events for virtual, hybrid, and in-person formats.
“We are thrilled to bring the innovative Thuzio brand in the Triller family,” said Mahi de Silva, CEO of TrillerNet.
“Tiki, Jared and Mark have built an extraordinary business that underscores the importance of experiential content and the growing demand among Millennials and Gen-Z for unique and memorable ‘experiences.’ Their far-reaching access to leaders across sports, culture and business means Thuzio is not only additive as an integrated part of our Triller ecosystem and offerings to brands, but also a business that we are excited to grow on its own.”
Triller was founded in 2012 by former NFL running back Tiki Barber along with entrepreneurs Mark Gerson and Jared Augustine. The company quickly made a name for itself by connecting sports, entertainment, and business influencers with leading brands through in-person and virtual events.
With the acquisition, Triller expands its capabilities to provide customizable events in the B2B marketing space. Thuzio’s solution uses an experienced event production team and a network of influencers to help users easily create engaging client and employee experiences. The all-in-one solution provides a single platform for streamlining event production and driving better ROI. With an expansive network of talent and venues, the solution makes it easy for B2B brands to promote their events with influencers.
Around the world, Thuzio is used by more than 500 companies including top names in multiple industries such as JP Morgan, Pepsi, Verizon, Wells Fargo, and Workday. Seven of the top 10 banks and six of the top 10 consultancies in the United States use the solution to lead their event strategies.
“Triller is one of the most exciting and ambitious entertainment brands operating today, and Mahi, Ryan and Bobby’s bold vision and smart risk-taking were huge factors in our decision to join forces,” said Jared Augustine, Thuzio co-founder and CEO.
“Triller is the perfect place to continue our triple digit growth, and we are excited at the potential to leverage Triller’s influencers and fans to diversify our base and attract a whole new range and category of consumer-facing brands.”
