Conversational messaging leader Gupshup has announced the release of its newest customer engagement tool: a WhatsApp-based e-commerce solution designed to streamline buying experiences. With the new solution, business organizations can control all stages of a conversational journey from pre-purchase, to purchase, to post-purchase.

“Gupshup offers the most advanced, comprehensive, and easy-to-use conversational commerce platform,” said Gaurav Kachhawa, Chief Product Officer, Gupshup. “Our goal is to enable every business, large and small, to get started with commerce through WhatsApp quickly and easily as well as realize the full potential of this capability to transform their business.”

The new solution, which is based on WhatsApp’s own recently released e-commerce capabilities, helps businesses gain control over their customer buying experiences. Gupshup’s solution takes advantage of its 1-Click Bill Pay feature, allowing companies to easily collect payments via popular messaging apps such as WhatsApp.

With the new solution, businesses can create customized product catalogs, use AI to converse with customers, and support every step of the customer journey with AI chatbots and live agent support. With many businesses already utilizing WhatsApp for buyer journeys (over 2 billion monthly users located in 180 countries), the product release helps Gupshup users easily manage strategies.

The release comes with additional features such as multi-product messages to make it easier for brands to exhibit their product offerings. Users will also be able to save items they are interested in to their carts on WhatsApp, engage with a brand in real time, and make payments all on the Gupshup platform.
