Facebook, the world’s largest social media platform, has announced it is releasing two new professional development courses with focus areas in marketing analytics and augmented reality. The courses, which will join Facebook’s recently announced Facebook Career Programs, are designed to help business professionals progress their industry knowledge of the latest tools and trends.
The Facebook Marketing Analytics Professional Certificate aims to help business professionals advance their knowledge of data analytics through a comprehensive six-course program. The courses cover topics such as analytical skills, tools, data visualization, statistics, segmentation and many more lessons that teach modern concepts to learners of all skill levels.
Through the course program, learners have the opportunity to earn both a Coursera and the Facebook Marketing Science Professional Certification.
The courses help professionals gain the tools and fundamentals necessary to succeed in a field booming with opportunity. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that every year from now until 2030, about 96,000 new marketing analytics opportunities will open. The field is expected to grow around 22 percent between 2020 and 2030, significantly above the national average of 8 percent growth for all other occupations.
With the Spark AR Creator Professional Certification, learners have a chance to develop their knowledge of a tool that is shaping the future of business. The specialized training program is created with advanced-level AR creators in mind as a way to help them elevate their content from competitors.
Included in the career program lineup and released earlier in the year, learners may also find the Facebook Social Media Marketing Professional Certificate a valuable tool for developing modern industry intelligence. Its courses provide users of all experiences and backgrounds with up-to-date social media best practices and credentials.

After completion of a course, learners gain access to the Facebook Certification Career Network, a network of over 130 brands such as BBDO, dentsu, GroupM, Havas Media, Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health, Facebook, and more.
“It is our hope that these steps will play a part in helping to close the increasingly widening skills gap so that millions of job seekers, particularly people from diverse communities, have access to more alternative, affordable, flexible and job-specific training opportunities to build their skills and prepare for the jobs of tomorrow,” VP, Facebook Head of Scaled Solutions, Global Business Marketing Judy Toland said in a press release.
